Need help to ID bolt

I have a need for 9 bolts like this one.
I thought it was a clutch cover bolt but after ordering two different part numbers from the dealer I haven"t been successful .
Any ideas?
Thank you

The year and type of car as well as the purpose of the bolt would help.
Have you looked on the PET catalog? Download your year and go from there.

That is the point. I need the information you request. (year and model)
This is a special project that requires this special bolt.
I had two of these bolts in my Porsche assortment but using the PET has not yielded any success.

That is generally called a 12-point cheese head fastener. Also, the term "triple square" is used. If you need a screw exactly like that, then I would look for something with that nomenclature.

If you can read the DIN number off the head, that will tell you what it is. Also, the head may say something like "8.8", "10.9" or "12.9". If you don't have to have a screw exactly like that, the you can buy a low head-height socket head cap screw (probably a 12.9).

That looks like a brake caliper bolt to me.

Do you have to have the triple square bolt head?? Fastenal shows 8x80 with low-pro head but with regular hex drive vs. triple square. Also 8mm bolts come in both 1.0mm and 1.25mm thread pitch.

XZN/Triple Square style fastener - never seen one this long on a 911.

Common on Audi, VW and Mercedes.

Could you use a 'low head' cap screw as an alternative as these have a similar head depth and are much easier to find

Ok, now I see your dilemma more clearly.
Took a quick look at Grainger, nothing much. McMaster-Carr has a good assortment of similar bolts, none with the 12 point star drive though.
