Exhaust stud problem
So i removed my exhaust system on my 69, with all the good suggestions on this forum, i was able to get it off without breaking any!!!
i did back a few out....studs that is! The problem is i can see one where a time sert has been used in the passed, and it has a hole in the bottom into the head. Where does it go? is it a problem? can i just put a stud in there and call it a day? Now i'm worried that there might be alloy filing running around in my system? advise is much appreciated....

there is not anything in the way of the exhaust studs unless it goes into the valve guide! you should be ok

Crisis averted it looked like a hole, but was in fact the remainder of the old stud the time sert is a little off centre, and they didn't pick the end out.
All out now and a new stud in place....Damn old eyes
