Diffuser for lead soldering
I've been doing a bit of lead soldering on my restoration. The only diffuser for my torch I've been able to find is from Eastwood. It has a rubber neck on it. Unfortunately, I have burned through the rubber part of two of them. Since I am not interested in burning down my garage, I would like to find a diffuser that is all metal. Anyone have a recommendation and a source?

If you're using a propane torch (variety that plumbers use), there are metal clip on diffusers for paint stripping. Available at hardware / paint / home improvement stores.
If you're using a welding type torch, perhaps a "rosebud" torch head will spread the heat in a wider pattern. -C
