3.2 O2 sensor

Like the title, with or without, put the Fabspeed Cat Bypass(for off road/track use only) on, the little idle bounce 50-75 RPM is now gone. I guess my question is, is the O2 sensor for emissions only?
The other question is, the car runs a little cruddy until warm, CHT sensor, NGK sparkplugs, magic?
Thanks
eric

The entire DME system is designed for emissions and performance. If you have to disconnect the 02 sensor to get it to run half way decent, then you have other issues to resolve or it will never run right.

I would start by looking for vacuum leaks and go on from there.

Cheers,

Joe

+1 vacuum leaks, our Euro Brothers do not have O2S, chip may need to be re-mapped though.

Hey,
I have been doing the checking/familiarization thing with the new beast. I did the same with the '75 2.7, new car, new possible issues and new systems. I went into the FSM and checked the engine management section, the O2 is indeed for emissions, the manual leads me to the CHT sensor based on their troubleshooting matrix. Will order the CHT sensor, it is listed in the PP listing under Head Temp Sensor.
Sweet
eric

Check the OHMs so you don't just throw money at it, just my 2 cents.

Side note check the OHMS on the Dizzy Cap & Rotor while you are at it, heck maybe the ref/speed sensor and ICV ( clean this one ).

Sorry brother to make more work for yeah :-(

maybe a little cost of cleaner, all is free to check.
