electrical problems...HELP

well my SC is acting up...

I put on early heat excahngers and a dansk muffler...and I never had time to get the CO adjusted...and the O2 sensor is plugged in but is not screwed into the HE's

so I used to have a really bad idle at stop lights...and my car stinks cuz I think it is running too rich...

I adjusted the idle screw to 900RPM...

but sometimes (usually cold start) the idle is erratic...which I expect

but then sometimes my tach starts swinging wildly...my guages and light dim-brighten-dim-brighten

and my radio dies??

is my alternator shot (it is a brand new...1 year old...replacement) and the alt light does not come on...

when I rev the car the lights get steady and the radio comes back on....

any idea?

thanks

MJ

Check voltages.

Mine did this too at idle. I finally checked it and found I was getting ~17 volts at idle....

I decided to check it, after my amp blew out...

Cool

82SC..there's something about the commonality of your elec. prob. that leads me to a ground..just a guess, assuming routine checks have been done.....Ron
