I like it. Do you know if I can get Super Carrera side scripts ???

On a more serious note, yep, I do like it but please loose the stone guards.

Since the curmudgeon faction hasn't been heard from yet I thought I'd better chip in. Esthetically I think the Carrera side script looks great. If you're just after the "look" then go for it.

On the other hand, the graphic belongs to a specific time and type of car. Putting it on another car is a little like putting the BMW Motorsport "M" insignia on your vanilla 325. I wouldn't do it because I like my symbols to have meaning, but that's obviously a minority view.

I saw a source somewhere for clear stone guards...can't remember where off hand. Any one else hear about these? Also I have read about the magnetic stone guards you can put on for road trips. The info. said it stays in place fine but comes off when you want it to. Again...I was cruising Porsche parts suppliers and saw the listings for them...may have been European suppliers.

Why do you even need stone guards back there for an SC/Carrera flared car?

95% of the stone guard is on a surface that is parallel to the direction of travel.

I can see how the Turbo needed those, but for a narrow body car, I always assumed they were just for looks - didn't really do anything.

They still get chipped up and look like hell if you don't protect them from road debris.

When the rebuild is done on my black SC, I'm going to have red Carrera sides made, they will matck the red centered 7&9Fuchs that I have for it, along with the duck tail.

100,000+ miles on mine, and I don't think I have a single chip on the rear fenders. (Plenty on the front valance, though).

Thanks for the replies !! I am going to take the stone guards off. I think it will give it more of a finished look. The first thing that draws my attention is those stoneguards. David posted a comment earlier about the scripts belonging to earlier Carreras and putting them on was like putting an "M" sticker on 325. I agree with him , but then again my Porsche is a "Carrera" so no problem there. It is what it is. I guess I have the best of both worlds (old and new).

The cab looks good with those stickers. But should it have them? I dunno.
For the record, I have a '90 BMW325 with (original) M badges on it.
We didn't get the left hand drive only E30 M3 out here (nor did the Aussies or South Africans), so they made a smallish run of trick suspension/bodykit/interior/LSD/Cat delete 325 coupes and called them the M325i.
Marginally slower then the M3- by a whisker- but M badged nevertheless. It's great fun to drive too!
