Question Whats the service schedule on a 993?

Well saw a 95 993 c4 with 36k. Wondering what is the service intervals and what would need to be done at each.

Since at 36k now will the next be at 45k? If so or anytime soon what will need to be done and what cost would i be looking at?

Gonna go look at the car on Sunday but no shop is open for a ppi. Ill maybe just wait till monday and take it in or buy only on proof then ppi comes back good. Can ya do that?

Thanks

I have always stated up front that a PPI will be done on the car. It's really hard to seriously discuss price without knowing any potential probs on the car. It's good to get a price in mind that your comfortable with assuming nothing's wrong with the car then negotiate down based on what's discovered in the PPI.
Good Luck

I purchased my 911 on a Sunday with the provision that I would have a PPI done on the following Monday. If all came back well, we had a deal. I gave the guy $500 to hold the car.

PPI came back fine, I completed the deal.

Barring accident damage it's hard to find a 993 with something seriously wrong with it mechanically.

StuttgartNut:

30k is a big one. Oil, filters (I do both at this change), pollen filters, (all filters), plugs, cap and rotor, etc. Dealer is about $900 + $350 for the plugs and rotors.

P-manual recommends oil and a filter every 15, so 45 would be the oil, however, I change the oil every 7500.

At 60, it is the same as the 30k, but you may not have to change the cap and rotor. Every 3 years, brake fluid should be bled. Dealer bills about $200 for that (and $125 for the oil and 1 filter).

Hope that helps. Oh, and if you buy a 993, be sure to flash...

Would always flash. Ive found ive blinked a few times at the cars here in vegas in my hooptie rental GEO METRO!! noone flashes back as they dont know. I pulled up to a 993 today and gave him a thumbs up but he noticed i was in a geo and didnt give the normal porsche wave just a "hey, yeh i know its nice" hehehe kinda ****ish but oh well.

Ive been driving this damn thing for a week now and have been on occasion wearing the porsche hat. I think people see me with the hat and then see me driving the metro and laugh.. Oh well ..

Hope things can work to make the deal happen. We'll see.

If the car is at a known dealer think they'll let me have the car overnight until the ppi gets done?

thanks
