Blown--- What kind of muffler is that? I like the tip. Been thinking about changing mine for a meaner sound but the $1000 just does not sit with me.

That is a SS quad outlet muffler that I built. I don't think I will do that again. It took a long time to make and the $1000 that others charge is not bad if your time is worth anything.
I would do another custom muffler but it would be different than the one that I built.

You don't need to change out the spring. Simply add a boost controller that will allow you to dial down the boost to 0.7bar. Now 1.0 bar is a tank of AvGas and a flip of the wrist away.
Here's my dump pipe. I call it "Gonzo" (you guys with kids will get it). ![]()

Rarly:
Very nice detailing of the engine. I have a question...did you drill your own O2-sensor hole in the exhaust pipe? Is there any way if doing this w/o detaching it from turbo and still not getting any metal shavings in it? With other words, i would like to connect O2-sensor to my car but i'm afraid of getting metal shavings into pipe and consequently turbo if i do this w/o taking whole pipe off...can i use small rubber-hose connected to vacuum-cleaner to clean inside of pipe? Also, what kind of exhaust color coating is it? How's that black standing up to high temperatures? Cheers.

Roadrunner - all my answers to your questions will be speculation.
The exhaust system seen in the picture is from an '85 Euro car, had the O2 sensor bung in place stock. I know it's a bunch of work to remove, but I just would not drill on the exhaust and take the chance of toasting your $1000 turbo. Unfortunately my talent and luck levels require caution. Can't tell you how the exhaust paint will hold up to heat, the engine is STILL sitting in my garage just as you see it in the picture. Work kicked me in the crotch again and I just haven't had time to finish prepping the car. Still have to hook up the A/F gage and cut a hole (GULP) in my rear deck lid for the intercooler. The wait is just simply killing me.
