Early Turbo tail questions

Is the bracket in the center for an oil cooler, or what? Is the one on the right for a windshield wiper motor? Anyone with pics of this tail with the appropriate parts installed?

The cover on this tail never had holes for those large freon lines, so I was assuming that it came off a NON A/C car, no?

It has that bracket on the center support and also two holes drilled in the cover plate near that bracket where something was mounted. I wonder if that directional funnel part you show was on all of these tails?

I wonder how they routed the freon hose then...Also, this tail has the smallest second grill which seems too small for a condenser. Did they use the tiny grill for A/C too? Or maybe it's a different year tail?

The small grill was also for AC but on n/a cars, some race cars may have used it for an oil cooler but that was at the owners direction this is a factory IROC/RSR with small grill

n/a AC is a different setup from the turbo AC

n/a is North American cars?

How does that plastic fan shroud or funnel attach? Could the center tab in my picture be for mounting that? Has it shown to be beneficial as far as cooling, or are they generally removed to increase airflow?

Ok, to respond to my own post, in case anyone else wonders in the near future....Looks like the tail is a non A/C tail (due to the shape of the inside panel and lack of freon hose holes). Also, the center bracket is, in fact, to mount that plastic air intake fan shroud (whatever it is named). Here is a thread that pretty much covers it:

WTB Early Turbo Tail Inner Panel/Shroud

But one question still stands...how effective and necessary is the plastic shroud?

n/a is normally aspirated, there were many non AC n/a cars that used the small second grill, the AC cars used a larger second grill
