Tool Kit Help

I have searched this forum high and low and I cannot determine what the 4 3/4" long, 1/4" stainless steel tube in my '85 Carrera tool kit is for.
Should I have a tow hook??
Should I have a seat adjusting tool??
What does the yellow tag on the outer flap signify, if anything???
TIA All,
FF

Is it not a long socket for the battery bolt?

It is a hollow extension sleeve used for added leverage on the 6mm Allen key with a rubber "guide sleeve" (see the top tool in the picture) to remove the front battery retaining clamp bolts.

No tow hook. There's 2 fixed at the front of the front a-arms, you scrape them going into driveways. Then there's tow hooks in the rear ahead of the bumper shocks accessable from below. These where also used for tie down during shipping. Screw in tow hooks didn't come until the 964.

ooooohhh... mint condition tool kit. Nice. My yellow screw driver handle is cracked and it drives me nutz that is is not perfect. Guess I shoulda collected comics or something!

re: Yellow Tag on leather tool kit case: this is for improved visibility for the kit. Makes it easier to spot it buried down there. No other reason.

How come I've never seen another tool kit with that manual window winder tool? That seems to always be missing.

Thanks Marc,
That makes sense as when you look at multiple tool kits, some have it, some don't and I know some owners of Carreras have substituted 964 kits.
So my kit is only lacking a power seat adjustment tool. Guess I'll pluck the seat out as I have to inspect the switch/motor anyhow and the shifter bushings and bearings. I'll determine the size of the power seat adjuster tool then and substitute a long hex driver for it.
Many thanks to all for the above info...

No, this one in red. According to the owner's manual, it's for operating a power window manually in case a motor fails. The sunroof crank is a much smaller tool and I believe it was separate from the tool kit.
