Hello group, I have read every single post on repairing a type 2 clock there can be. Yes I replaced the capacitors, they were bad. Reassembled everything and nothing.
To say I am pissed is an understatement as this is my second clock in the car. The First one I sent out to a reputable pelican member and he said it was unrepairable. It seems if its not the capacitors no one knows what to do.Unless you willing to pay for a $160 repair. At this point I feel like just ripping the clock apart just for the fun of it. I read somewhere a 9V battery when connected to the clock will at least show the gears moving is this true? Yes I checked the voltage coming from the leads in the car Anyone have any thoughts on where else to look upon disassembly. The clock gears move just fine. Final thought is to check every component and solder joints everywhere. Something was mentioned on low fusing solder. If anyone could help it would be appreciated |

$160 is a small price to pay in my opinion to have a warranty.
