Not your typical Cool Collar thread, but I can't get the darn thing installed! HELP!

Hey all,

By no means do I intend to drag out the cool collar debate.....I've already purchased one. Also, nothing in archives about my issue.

Already, I'm having trouble fitting the darn thing in the engine compartment. The directions make it sound like it fits right over the A/C hose, but in my car, it sure doesn't seem that way. I've got an '85 with a 3.2

So, if anyone can give me some input, or post some pix as to how to do the install without scratching up the edge of the engine bay, I would certainly appreciate it. Even if I take a few segments off, it aint goin' in.

Am I able to remove the oil filter and replace it with a new filter with the cool collar on it already?

PLEASE ADVISE!! AND THANKS.

Just throw it in the glove box. It will do just as much good there.

I know the problem....it can probably be done but it reminds me of a puzzle. I just cut my Cool Collar into two pieces rather than play puzzle games.

no room with the compressor there. remove the 3 bolts thru the compressor, and move it away.
