Sound bite of strange noise
As I posted before on the noise coming from the r/h rear of my 1985 911, I went out again to day and made a short recording and you can hear the sound clearly, it is coming from the right side and sounds as if it may be a CV joint? It is louder at slow speed and not as bad at higher speeds. Foot on clutch it stops, and when there is no power on or on over run.

I would check cv bolts and see if the trans flange can be moved around, maybe feel wheel bearings.. from the frequency it doesn't sound like something happening at engine speed or 1/2 the engine speed (valve train). Hard to tell what the car was doing during the recording.... sounds like maybe it was being driven slowly and then came to a stop.
