turn signals not working, hazards work

I did some searches but didn't find answer. I just got my car running after 9 mos. dealing with transmission and other issues. in the meantime my state inspection sticker expired last month.

Turn signals no longer work. Hazard flashers work fine at all 4 corners, so I know bulbs and wiring to bulbs and grounds are ok. When hazards are on I can hear/feel the relay (behind the oil gauge) clicking in time. Notably when hazards are working the green direction indicator lights on the tach don't come on (I think they are supposed to?).

Neither turn signal works. When turn signal is engaged I can hear (and feel) the relay crackling (not clicking) for a couple seconds but blinkers don't work. The indicator lights on tach don't come on either. However the standing light feature works (this is feature where if you shut car off with turn signal engaged it will illuminate lights on that side to make car visible when parking at night).

I looked at wiring diagram and am not sure why turn signals aren't working. The only thing I can think of is the relay, which is relatively cheap and easy to replace. Thanks for any suggestions.

check both the fuses and wires going upto it, they may have blown and or gotten loose.

I would replace the turn signal relay. The lights are working when using the hazard circuit and the turn signal contact, so they are getting power via these circuits, just not through the turn signal relay circuit.

Put a multimeter onto the turn signal fuse feed(s) and make sure it stays at 12V when the turn signals are activated. Strange things can happen with small amount of corrosion on the front fuse panel, plus check all the wires are making good contact and the retaining screws tight. Other than that I agree with the relay diagnosis.
