Need jacking point dimensions for custom lift

Hi everybody! This is my first post here, I'll try to keep it short and to the point. I've dreamt about owning a 911 since I was a kid, you now, poster on the wall type, except I couldn't even afford a decent poster, lol. Well, time has passed, I'm in my late thirties now and the day is fast approaching when I will get my very own dream 911. I've pretty much settled on a 3.0 SC. Let's get to my question. I don't have the car yet but I'm building my first home, with my dream garage of course. I will install a 4-post custom lift, and these need to be dug about 4-5 feet below the concrete. My plan is to be able to lift the car just enough to work comfortably while sitting on a stool, so that's about 3-4 feet or so. Not having a car, I need to know the dimensions of the jacking points that will allow free access to the engine and suspension. doing a search I found this picture, and I'm assuming the X's are a good spot. (specifically, the ones between the C's and D's) Could anyone tell me those dimensions? Baring that, could you give me any of the other dimensions? I can measure the rest form the photos but I need a starting point. I'm also assuming this picture applies to the 3.0SC. Many thanks! Florian

I would suggest a Bendpak mid rise scissor lift versus a permanent in the floor lift...It's portable and will go up to 48" vertical.

Congratulations on the new home building and plans for an SC. SC's are the best! There are some good threads on home built-in jack setups, if you use the search in the technical subforum you may find some more info. I don't have anything like this myself, but I'm sure some of the guys who do will be happy to speak up.

You'll want to ne careful as there are oil lines running along the bottom of the car on the right hand side I use thick rubber bumpers just inboard of the oil lines If you lift on the seams you need pinch weld blocks the smaller yellow one here the black ones on the right and on the jack pad

Plan for adequate clearance for A/C and external oil cooler lines on or near the X areas. Sherwood

look at Max Jack.. you only need 4 to 5 " of concrete to drill into, it is portable and will work with stool.. $2000.00 Costco.
