Questions about RSR Refinish

I posted on the economy rsr refinish but no response so I thought I would try my own thread. I just had my wheels blasted and polished the lips but have a couple questions.

First does the polished lip stay raw, meaning no clear over it or does it get the satin clear as the rest of the wheels? or does it get a gloss clear just over the lip?

Second I will be using a gun to repaint them but have not been able to get the color right, I have painted the center of the wheel a few different times with different colors but it just does not seem correct. When I cay center I mean the part of the wheel that is covered by the tire. Has anyone mixed the color or know what color to buy?

I just wanted to get some practice in on these and by the way they will be available for sale when I am done. the 16x7 are fuchs and the 16x9 are japanese replicas

Thanks for any help,
Dave

Not sure on your question. I was curious when you took them to the blaster did you specify a particular media or just tell them to clean them off not to damage them?

I have a set of factory 16x7 and japanese 16x8s, after you get these done I would trade plus cash and you could do another set :-)

Seems like I read the clear coat turns yellow and flakkes after a while? I have seen several where you could see finger prints and they were difficult to clean, seems like clear coat woudl help with that. Doesn't Plavan on the other thread clear coat his? Of course in a race car environment longevity and appearance are less important.
