Hardware for rear hatch struts?
When I looked at my rear hatch struts, there were two on one side, and it was a shouldered bolt with a bunch of washers for spacers. But, no nut was on there. Probably fell off at some point. Purchased the heavy duty mounts to go on each side as I do have the mount on the forward firewall to attach it to.
Question is - what hardware should I be using? Do the struts mount to the inside of the arms on the hatch, or outside? I was thinking of just using a shouldered bolt, two washers, and a locking nut. But, not really sure if there is a right or wrong way to do it.

I think the shouldered/unthreaded bolt was spec'd because of the load on the bolt, which is lateral. Meaning, the pushing & pulling on the hole can cause it to hog-out due to the threads bearing on the hole.
In a pinch I have used an M6 bolt, washers and nylock nut to attach the struts. It works fine. But I do have a handful of shouldered pins and clips that are the originals Porsche used for the connections if you'd like them. I collected them out of various cars over the years.

Got it. I'll try and find some locally. Much appreciated, sir!
