Mystery wire in passenger footwell

I was installing a radio today and when I was finishing I noticed this wire / plug dangling in the passenger footwell. I didn't notice it before. Does anyone know where it goes and what it's for?

Looks like it could be the Fasten Seatbelt connection? Just my guess, I'm not an expert but someone here will know if my suggestion isn't correct.

Wire.

If equipped, that's the connector for the Auto Heat sensor.

Good luck,

Gerry

Does anyone know where it should be connected? I don't really see any where. I'm not sure if the car has auto heat. It has a red dial on top of where the heat levers are but it never seemed to do much.

It may have it and just never worked because it was never connected.

As for the block of wood, what would you like to know!?

What does this connect to? (dash wiring)

Good cue about the auto heat sensor. The thread above is about the same wire. I just need to figure out if this car has auto heat or not.

I posted on that thread.

If you have either one of these sensors,
a ten position rotary dial, you have Auto Heat.

Good Luck,

Gerry

good. I have none of those things. I guess this is just surplus to requirement and can be tied up out the way. Thanks for clearing that up everyone.
