What type of computer do you use?
Over the past couple of days there have been a few posts concerning computers (i.e. how do you this or that?). Just curious, what type of computer (operating system) do you use? Windows, Apple, Linux, other?

you should break the apple into OSX and OS9 since they are totally different operating systems. You can keep just one windoze entry since it is all the same old cr*p anyway

I work on computers, (servers) for a living. Not a guru like some. I run 98 and 2000 pro on one laptop. NT4 and win xp on another. I also have a g4 w\os 9.2 and another running osx. I have another running linux. My fav is 2000. If I had a choice between osx and 9.2, stick with 9.2. Weve had too many problems w\osx running certain apps. Most the designers in the shop I work for run 9.2. 3 people had osx, hated it and went back to os9. But there is one guru in the office that has his osx running like a champ.

I voted "other" because I use WinME/2k at home for games, Linux at home for actually getting work done, and Win2k at work for....work.
Having been a system administrator for 20 Macs, I can see why the Mac-faithful have to be so elitist about their selection of computing environment. If they weren't, they couldn't justify the extra expense for reduced performance and a much, much smaller library of available software.
