Bad spark cap connection
I seam to have bad connection between spark plugs and the cap (wire housing)
Is there a quick fix to this problem or do i need to get new wires? Glenn 911S 1976 |

All of them? If all of them are having problems, the issue is likely upstream. In my opinion it would likely be the main lead from the coil, the coil itself or the power to the coil. To me it is unlikely that the wires are the sole problem. If the wires are obviously old, they should be changed anyhow.

look at the plug ends, the metal part is often split and you can squeeze it slightly with pliers to make the circumfrence smaller so they grip the plug better.

You might explain the problem a little more. If you are referring to the wires not sliding into the cap far enough to make good electrical contact, I had a similar problem with new ignition wires. The rubber boots were so new and springy that the wires would slide off the smooth plastic of the distributor cap. I simply pulled the wires through the rubber boots a little farther and pushed them into the cap firmly and all was well.

best to spray into the boot of each wire, old trick but seems to work, clean up any overspray from the cap area
