Stupid question: Dropping the consensor on the rear decklid?

I've got a badge I want to install on the rear decklid so I need to drop the consensor out of the way but those nuts closest to the hinge aren't easy to get to. Is there an easier way to accomplish this that I am overlooking?

Pull the pins and use double sided tape or silicon sealant.
