need help with defroster issue

For some reason the driver side defrost (hot air) never stops blowing while I am driving. 1978 SC. When I move the center lever side to side the cable seems to be moving the arm it is attached to. I thought that would control the air flow to the vent on the dash but it does not. Anyone have some insight? I just had my heat exchangers changed and now the heat is working properly and I guess it is more noticeable.

Push the two levers between the seats down see if that does it. Takes years to figure out the system. Lol

Assuming you are just trying to control where the heat comes out, top or bottom, my guess is the seals inside the deflector on the drivers side under the cowl are not sealing. Could be worn seal or needing an adjustment.

The bottom dash lever controls the defroster. All the way left blows down at your feet. All the way right blows toward the windshield.
Center lever is fresh air.

Good catch, re-reading the original post he is just moving the fresh air vent...
Red lever on the bottom on my '78 tells it to go top or bottom...
