Just bought a 70 911T with maybe S Motor? Help decoding.

We (grautogallery.com) just bought a very rough 1970 911T. We think it may have an "S" motor in it and from what we found it does but I would hate to claim it does when we could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeffrey

Chassis # 9111100670

Motor# 4080381

Look to the right side of the fan housing. There is a vertical flat portion of the casting down towards the block. It will have a seven digit number stamped there with 'stars' on either side of the number. It will start with the number 61xxxxx if it is a T engine. 63xxxxx if an S engine.
I would also post on the Early 911S registry.
The guys on that board can give you more details.

The motor number that is stamped on the car is in my original post. 4080381. I know that it is not the right motor too the car and I know the car is not an "S" car but wondering if the motor is out of an "S".

4080381 is an aluminum case S engine number. I'd be interested in the # stamped on the case below the type # 901/02; it will be in the 10000 range. Now the case may be from an S, but to claim an S engine would require that the rest of the engine is S type.
Third number on engine case
