Another electrical problem!
Hi there,
Ive been trying to get my ciggy lighter working and in doing so have introduced another fault. The ciggy lighter on the 69 model has a relay. I couldn't find the relay, so I ended up using the spare power for the un-optioned gas heater, thereby bypassing the relay. However, since doing this I have found that my oil pressure gauge, temp gauge, fuel gauge are giving incorrect readings. The ignition light comes on only once the engine is running and gets brighter as the engine is revved (totally in reverse to correct operation). And the rev counter is giving incorrect readings. I've gone back over the wiring, but can't find the problem. Disconnected my cig lighter bypass, still same. I'm hoping someone will read this and know right away what it is. Here's a link to the wiring diagram if it's of any help. The yellow and blue wire seems likely, but I've checked it and it appears OK. http://www.nicholas-moss.co.uk/photos/69-911.jpg Any help appreciated.

Scrub that, found that fault. Feed wire from the ignition switch had come off.
