You guys are starting to piss me off...
Now after I finish my "914RSR" project (which'll be a good year or two or three), I'm gonna hafta get me one of these... I think a 2000lb RSR or 934 bodied early car with a Motec 3.8 would do nicely. Make mine white with the blue trim, thanks.

Yup, these two white cars are just great looking. I assume you can see your oil lines on the passenger side?
You guys are running without rockers, which I guess makes sense for the quick and dirty lowering/raising at events or what? Anyway, love these machines. That black one near Streight's car is also hella sweet.

Yes, you can see the oil lines. Kind of a racy look. LOL. But when I put in the AeroQuip I hadn't planned on the 3.0RS clone look.
For anyone else doing it. Stay with factory lines and paint them with black engine paint. You'll loose some cooling with the paint. But the copper will dissipate the heat better. Moses, I thought I’d drop you line on the front bumper strength. One of the locations we use for A-Xing has a nasty driveway, transitioning from one lot to the next. I slow down as much as I can, but I still bang the s*** of it. It can heard [b]clear[b] across the event. Only to have scrapes on the bottom. That SOB is tough. My son walked up with a sad look is his eyes. Dad, is the bumper broken ? It sounds like the parts are coming off. I’m going to raise the car back up ½ inch when I change out the suspension components. I’m 24 / 24.5 now. Too low, not enough travel for the locations we use.

Yup, I've got the same spoiler and its got some cracks on the bottom. My plan for the winter is to redo it when I repaint the car and add a 1 inch tubular "nerf" bar underneath which will also serve as an attachment point for a splitter for track use.

After 14 years its time to freshen up the paint on the bumpers. A few to many speed bumps and orange cones.

Nice looking car. I've always liked the IROC look. Plus it's not back-dated.

Bumpers back from the paint shop. I'll reinstall them on Saturday. Car is going to appear in the Porsche corral at the Forest Grove, Oregon Concours D' Elegance on Sunday.

About 20k in 14 years. Seems like I remember 93k on the ODO and I'm at 112k.

Returned to Portland in 2009. But yes Montana is a great place to drive. I fondly remember driving to Lewistown in my new to me 914. With a friend in a new to him 996 GT2. We did 50-60 miles at 90-100mph with me not being able to see his Porsche emblem on the hood.
Car work out area was driving from Stevensville to Lolo Pass and back. I wish I had some video. I just exited the grocery business after 30 years. I just started at Rothsport as the new guy (dirty work) in the chassis shop. Plus doing some 914 restoration at my own shop. 914World.com - The fastest growing online 914 community! 914World.com - The fastest growing online 914 community! 914World.com - The fastest growing online 914 community! Great looking car cary! ![]() Please tell us more about the gearbox with shorter 2-3-4. Steve at Rennsport often says that it feels like 50 extra HP, sounds like you experienced the same. Do you know what ratios went into it or any other details? And is your impression still the same after all these years and miles? I'm going to have my gearbox rebuilt this winter and am looking to do the same.

I'll see if it's in my file at Rothsport.
I always tell folks it's like having 250 hp. I'm faster than a 3.2 with SSI's and a Steve Wong chip. But I'm lighter too. So it's kind of convoluted.

I was thinking last night. I'd just have Steve Weiner help you. Lot's of new stuff since mine was done.
And shipping gear boxes is pretty easy.
