Location of cruise control circuit board?

Have read the threads on what to repair, but where does the thing live?

On the '84 Carerra right next to the brake booster behind the cardboard thingy. Silver aprox 5'x8', 2 phillips screws on the sides with a connector on the bottom.

RSbob, My speed control would not hold a set speed, it would slowly drop off. I found a used unit on ebay for about $65.00 and installed it and it works great! You can also get your unit rebuilt.

Hey guys,

No desire to hijack but I've an '84 with no sign of cruise control option at all....... is it possible to retrofit? Does the wiring exist? It is a factory Turbo look and I would imagine it was loaded. P.O. stripped a lot of weight......
