Yes, this has gone completely to hell. :-)

Welcome to the WWEST world.

Everyone notice that he didnt answer the question on why the viscious assault on Griff for two years. He just changed the subject...

Every single thread where someone asks a question about 911 AC, wwest comes in and drools his gibberish about trinary switches and SPAL fans. No matter what the subject or question.

The aphorism that comes to mind is, "When all you have is a hammer, every (AC) problem looks like a nail."

Bob Kontak 06-21-2013 12:36 PM

wwest has been a sport today. Only one or two attacks on Griff and the side stepping of the "why" he beats on Griff.

Pffffft - that's a damn good day!

Here's hoping for closure.

nick, Sorry that your thread was hijacked. I thought this technical forum was moderated?

Threadcrappers, Trolls and hijackers should be addressed by the Mods ...otherwise interest and click count on this board will deteriorate and will drop like an anchor... and newbies on the fence will continue to just be lurking instead of actively participating...my 2 cents.

Most important, did you get the adapter(s) you are seeking? Did it work? Keep us posted.

If my thinking is correct the pressure cannot really equalize until there is virtually no liquid refrigerant in the high side volume, the R/D.

That write up makes sense to me.

I ain't saying it's right because I don't fully understand the whole dynamic. But I do understand that it bleeds out and flow will be restricted when the evap gets chilled.

I say we dig up a valve and send it to billybek.

An OEM part is $35 and a cheaper one is $13. Chripes, I'll buy the cheap one just to put this to bed.

Also, Kuehl said it. I read it. Who can believe a 3rd tier AC tech anyways?

Before we spend any money let's wait a few days for Kuehl to step up to the truth table.

"why"...

Kuehl was among the first to "naysay" about my use of cooling fan to make the rear condensor more efficient. As a result I looked into his qualifications.....

What is your definition of hijacked? One pic of Gilligan and people start judging.

Sheesh.

Hi Sheesh...:D. Hi Bob, Please ask the resident AC hijacker/troll/threadcrapper for his job/life description for clarification... Not judging but just stating a fact...this started on post #11...Nick was seeking help/assistance/direction, then someone posts some "googled" stuff not even remotely addressing the topic...and then continues to distort the thread...

Better yet please ask the moderators of this forum what is hijacked? ;)

Now back to our regular programming on Nick's adapter inquiry...did it get addressed? If not, let's focus on helping this brother...If it was resolved, then fantastic!

By the way I like Gilligan...

Fans for the condenser cannot be discounted.

It is a simple thing to understand, even for a feebe like me, that ambient air being forced over cooling fins will assist condenser efficiency.

So he rubbed you the wrong way? Perhaps he was simply having a retail moment?

Maybe his sales numbers were low or his wife was kicking his ass or he hit over 100 again (nine holes). Christ, he is in New Jersey. It's not even a real US state. He can't help it. It's genetic. I mean it's the law there that shop keepers are supposed to be obnoxious. I performed an audit in Newark several years back and as I drove in from Akron a bill board said "Let's keep the murder rate down this year" (this is true - the rest I kinda made up)

Because I find the technical discussion intriguing. Plus you are so violently pissed off over this issue that I just want to work through it rather than see another two years of hatred.

Nick is fine. This is a one-off that needs to run its course.

Back in the days, pre-60, when I lived on the right coast that was confined to NY'ers. I guess like a disease it must spread with time. Any chance of "containing" it...??

Me? violently pissed off..?

Just being persistent that the truth prevail.

Are you sure, Punchy?

It rubbed you the wrong way, whatever he said, and you've been throwing fists for over 700 days.

Seems pretty violent to me.

Nick,
It looks like PP has something like what you are looking for Here. You could call PP's Sales Department, 888-270-7799, and ask them about it.

I guess I seriously dislike marketeers pretending to be "professionals" that spread disinformation in the process of selling their own "snake oil" product(s). Given Kuehl's expereince level I have no doubt that he knows the truth (ignoring the possibility that he has long sense forgotten) but it doesn't serve him well at the moment.

Plus, in my case, this has been a "learn as you go" type of discussion.

Hard to tell from the picture but aren't those the type of adapters you earlier recommended against using..?

Besides which the "remove and replace" high side adapter kit including a binary pressure switch is available at a competitive price.

Binary Switch w/ R-134a Discharge Port 7/16" - A/C Pressure Switch

Wwest,

The post was directed to the original party whom started the thread.
What my post states is concise:
1) The host has a product here, ask them if it meets the criteria.
2) The criteria was stated.

The reason to ask the host about their product is that sometimes pictures are used which may not be an an exact representation of the product. Products change over time.

Now Wwest, I hope you have learned something here about marketing.
