Probably the second half of a 2 plug ox sensor.

Thanks but I don't think so. It looks like the O2 sensor is connected via its bung - these are separate but I haven't been able to trace them back and there doesn't seem to be anything nearby to plug them in to. One wire is red the other brown with white strip.

it would help if you would put the year of your car in the profile.

Bringing this back up - anyone have an idea.
The connectors look oem original and are spliced into the black wire harness that runs along under the fuel filter. I traced the O2 sensor and this isn't it. Here's a close up. The wires are Red and Brown w/white strip.

I'm thinking they plug into something behind the blower that I can't see - the engine was recently dropped so maybe they missed them when reinstalling Any other guesses ? I'll check them for power tonight but that won't tell me much Thanks |

Engine compartment light?
By '87 this should originate from the right side, maybe late '86 build? If so, those would get Hot with key on and headlight switch turned on. Just a guess. Cooper |

Went looking to see if I could help you Ramp... and wound up finding my own disconnected wires tucked under the coil! Three red wires at this junction. (I have '80 with '85 3.2 in it.) Aside from my rear window defroster and heat system not working (never use them)... everything else works.

Color code.
Color code please, and I'll check my factory manual.

Ramp, I have the same two connectors, same color and in exact same location on my 1987 911 and everything on my car works. Been that way since day one and I assume they must of been spares for something as my car has never been modified in anyway.

What about for cruise ? I don't have it - is the cruise control unit in this area ?
Thanks for all the help. I found about 5 other plugs around the car that are currently unused although all seems to be working. Would be nice to sort them out just to know.

Rear wiper motor
I had a look at the factory manual M/Y 86, and the closest I came accross were a pair of wires, Red w/Black stripe, Brown w/White stripe from the dash mounted rear wiper switch to the rear wiper motor on a two wire connector. Fuse #7 on fuse block #2, and fuse #3 on the engine compartment fuse block.
Also, had a look at our '86, no connector. Good luck, Gerry

Great - thanks- the wires are in a perfect location for the rear wiper motor ( if I had one since mine is a cab) - at least we know.
