Clutch condition?

'89 Carrera, G50.
Dropped engine to address seals, fuel lines, valves, etc.
Separated tranny to inspect clutch condition.
Shifts fine...how does she look from the pics?
Anything need doing before re-assembly?
Thanks in advance,
John

Measure the disc and see if it's in spec.
Looks like there's plenty of meat left on it in the picture.
I assume the fly wheel looks as good as the pressure plate?
If so I'd bolt it back on.

+1 measure the clutch disk, it is really the only way to know how much life is left on it.

As far as the fly wheel, if no ridges or grooves you are good to go, may be lightly and evenly clean it with the green spunge ( damn it memory laps on the name, you know the kitchen stuff, damn it my old brain ) if suspect, go to a reputable machine shop and have it machined, it is cheap while it is out.

You have a nice looking clutch face and a spring center disc. I'd say you're good to go. Take a closeup picture for us of two adjoining rivets (one will be deep, the other notsomuch) to get a look how much meat on the disc. But based on the condition of the clutch surface, I would guess it's very good. Somebody drives it nicely. That clutch shows minimal slippage and either doesn't downshift or matches revs very well. Or it's not driven enough!

Take a look at the clutch on the front side. You will be able to tell the date of the clutch because it's stamped on the spring fingers. Before you reinstall, make sure to clean up the contact surfaces with some brake cleaner.

Clutch was replaced (and shift fork updated) by first owner ~ 36K miles.
I'm the 4th owner with ~ 93K miles.
Thickness measures 8.9 mm.
I think I'm good to go
Thanks for the input everyone...Draco, that's Scotchbrite (but you knew that)
Time to remove the flywheel....gotta get that 3-square bit.
