Source for 74 rear sway bar body attachment bracket/mount

Anyone know of a source for brackets that attach the rear sway bar to the tub for a 74 911 with a 18mm one piece bar. Found a barn find and one side of the bar is not attached. Tube is solid behind just need the brackets, looks like one side had been replaced with a wield on no original bracket. This car has the first generation aluminum trailing arms with the post for the sway bar. Is it possible to lower the ride height on a 74' this car sitting a couple of inches higher than my SC and 70T.

Found the brackets from our host, still would be interested in options for lowering the ride height on a 74 911 if anyone has thoughts.

You can change ride height by resetting the torsion bars. It's a stinker to get right. Look on tech pages for a description of how to do it. For my money, while you've got it apart, chuck the old fixed spring plates and get a set of SC type adjustables. I found a used set for $100. Replace the Spring Plate bushings while you're there and you'll have a much easier time setting heights and a nice refreshed spring height.

PS - Stock sway bar mounts are less than spectacular. The frequently get torn off (as did one of mine) If you've got the welder out, consider changing them both to Wevo RARB type. Then match up the correct dia bushings and you're in business.

There is an "updated" bar mount from Porsche that is reinforced. I believe that's what our host sells. The originals were prone to failure.

When I got dad's 74, the rear, Carrera bar, (18mm) was missing and it looked like the old bar mount was sawed off, the other was ok. Even though he ordered the car with the Carrera bars, he was a non aggressive driver, so his shop probably said, "hey, they all do this and you really don't need the rear bar, so we will just cut off the damaged bracket".

Do a little searching, there are a few good threads with helpful details, like using weld through primer, bracket location and moving the fuel pump, "while you're in there".

I stayed with the stock 15mm sway bar that was factory ordered. The mounts have never torn but again, I stay with the 15mm bar. Bigger bars will require a more robust mount as posted above. I just use the 15mm sway bar to maintain balance. Sweepers do not feel right without it.

However in 1974, most cars did not even have a rear sway bar. If you are going to work on the rear torsion bars/settings frequently then look at getting the Rebel kit to adjust with minimum drama. Matching trailing arm bushings too if you drop the motor & trans. Best of luck
