Guuuscch!!! that front lip on 911 Turbo really have a function...
I must tell you a little story from April this year here in Sweden, I went for the yearly car-inspection, when itīs finally was my turn to drive in to the critical mecanics who would go thru my car in every detail....
Thats when the problem came.. THE CAR WAS TO LOW!!! ****!!! What to do??... Well I call a friend and we start to dismount the lower part of the front bumper, after every screw and a lot of anger the bumper finally was gone. The "Guys" start to look at my 930 and didnīt find anything to complain on. Me and my friend decided to drive to his garage and remount the bumper there.. Said and done.. So we start driving, finally we came to the highway and my friend was driving in front of me in his old Ford Sierra whith my front bumper in it, he held a speed about 100 km/h and I just wanna press my Porsche a little bit so I get down on the third gear and let the turbo load, just when I drive thru my friend (about 130-140 km/h) my frontwheels WAS IN THE AIR!!!! So I guess thats was the time when I saw the power of the big wing and the aerodynamic chassie on a 930.... So guys (and girls) dont forgot the little lip on the front bumper when you put the rear wing on... Maybe someone else has had the same experiense??? /Jocke |

Amazing - 930s are pretty heavy in the back, but it's hard to believe that your front end could get airborne at only 130kph.
I guess I'll leave that silly driveway scraper on the front of my car after all! Larry |
