Porsche Crest Carrera 3.2 no spark (continued...)

Hi all,

I realise this thread has been discussed previously. I have read through these in detail and have still no luck starting my carrera 3.2. Note that the car cranks and the fuel pump appears to work (I can smell petrol in the exhaust) however I am not getting any spark.

Checks I have performed include...

1. Am getting 12.7v + from the battery.
2. Have replaced DME relay.
3. Have replaced both the speed and reference sensors (at the flywheel).
4. Have tested the ignition coil hooked up directly to a car battery and spark plug wire with spark plug (I get a spark when performing this test). However when I put the ignition coil back into the car and crank the ignition I don't appear to be get any spark from the coil (note I have a spark park wire running directly out of the coil for testing purposes).

Reading previous posts suggests the DME relay and sensors control sending an electric signal to the coil, however given I have replaced both these what else could be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Beachy
