Another SC cold start issue - TTS?

Very similar issues to this thread:

Thermo Time Switch 1978 SC 3.0

I disconnected both wires to the TTS to test for voltage, had somebody turn the key, and she fired right up!
Fuel pressures good cold, warm, and residual.
Unfortunately now the mornings are colder, she is getting a little more difficult to start.

So...
Has anybody successfully repaired/cleaned a TTS?
Replaced the TTS with a manual switch?

I tested a bunch of spare TTSs I had and all appeared faulty. However, after more research I think I did the test wrong.

The TTS was dunked in boiling water. Continuity was checked across the terminals. All had continuity.

However, according to this chart from Mr. Butler, continuity is still there but the resistance is higher. So time to retest the spares!

Any other suggestions? Really thinking about adding a manual switch.

I just tested 2 TTS's I have and one appears to be bad as I get 100 ohms from the large terminal to the brass case (Ground when installed) at over 50 deg C and the same reading when frozen...
The other shows zero ohms from the large terminal to the case(ground) at room temperature and increases to 100 when heated.
So, I have one good one and one bad one....
