Question Upper End Partial Gasket Kit?

Does Porsche or any other company sell a partial kit for doing just the upper end?
I don't need (or want to go to the expense) of buying a complete gasket kit....but I will need the ones to tear down the heads and cam towers.
Thanks for any info.
Bob

Bob,
Yes they sell a "top end" gasket kit which includes all the gaskets including new O-rings for the oil return tubes, base gaskets for the cylinders, intake and exhuast port gaskets. They are quite expensive. Whatever you do, don't buy exhaust port gaskets from the Porsche dealer. The dealer gets $7 or $8 EACH for the gaskets and they are less than $2 aftermarket.

Thanks for the info.....
So...do any of the gaskets from the later kits apply to mine?
Or are they all pretty well the wrong size?
I realise the cyl's will be different but aren't the cam tower gaskets the same?...also the chain covers?

Are you trying to get yerself *banned*, Tim??

Actually, in a recent inquiry to the Big Pelican himself, Wayne told me he was going to bring out gasket kits for DIY rebuilders in the near future.

Nah just a slip, I have bought many parts from Pelican....

However I have dealt with EBS numerous times as well, and EBS always has top end rebuild kits in their ads...

To be politically correct I should have said the "yes top end gasket kits are available"

and not mentioned a source

however capatalism and first amendment issues alway cloud my judgement LOL
