How to measure SSIs to determine diameter?

Hey folks,

I spent some time using the search tool and did not yield the results i was looking for. Could someone tell me where one can measure SSIs to determine what diamter headers they are / whether to measure the inside or outside diameter?

Greatly appreciated.

Careful. I've noticed some header retailers describe the tube size but don't indicate whether it's an ID or OD measurement. Makes a difference.
