Color?
Hey! Have you tried to figure out what color it was originally? That looks like it could be some cool color of green in the engine compartment! Score! There should be a paint code aluminum tag on the drivers side door hinge post.
have fun, Andy |
Stupid newbie thought; I saw the screws in the airbox and thought, wow, this will be easy to take apart. Took off one screw, then had a reallll good look around. Good thing I stopped RIGHT there :)

I think it was painted 'Resale Red' in the 80's. The paint is pretty good but it's a respray. I think it was green originally as well (I had to take off a door card...)
PS How did you know it was GREEN?? The engine was swapped and I thought 'S' engines come with Green shrouds so that can't be it. I didn't spot any green anywhere visible on the entire car. Man, you guys have GREAT vision. Learn me!!! Here is a picture of the tag on the door. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-j.../WP_001179.jpg |
There are numerous engine drop threads, search first engine drop and they will appear! :)

Paint code looks to be 6806=Irish Green!

Looks like a bit of the green showing on the right side. Love that color.

I have been thinking about your fuel pump/accumulator/filter setup.
Fuel should flow from the pump, to the accumulator, to the filter and then to the fuel distributor. Once you move the pump to a more appropriate location, you will need to install the accumulator and filter in an appropriate location on the left side of the engine room (near the CDI box). To install your fuel accumulator and filter, you can get the SC bracket and accumulator to filter pipe from a bone yard. When installed, the setup will look like this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1202676943.jpg If you do not want to get the fancy S pipe that connects the accumulator to the filter, you can do something like this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1202677063.jpg |
