Part #?? heater back-date 88 Carrera

I have a 1988 Carrera I'm trying to back date the heat on. I bought the hot air socket/ heat duct from Pelican, it's a repo part that doesn't even come close to fitting. The part number that everyone talks about for the Carrera is 930-106-321-01 from PET and is unobtainable in my realm. I found on Pelican Part# 930-160-321-02-OME looks the same, does anyone know if this is the same part with a new number? Has anyone tried it on a Carrera? HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Hey, I just saw your PM which referenced my old thread. In case you missed 'em, go look at posts #10 and 11 in that thread. It would appear that Pelican has changed their numbering scheme...maybe give them a call with the info from the other thread on hand? Good luck! I'd do it again in a heartbeat (though it wasn't "easy")....no regrets whatsoever!

Man 'o man...I'm not a bit of help either. I did this 9 years ago, and my online history of Pelican orders doesn't go back that far. Nor do I have the part # in any of my spreadsheets, etc. I do know that I ordered it from Pelican, and it IS the actual OEM part that came on the 930 Turbos (note that a lot of "our" parts start with 930xxx) but aren't necessarily from the turbos. Sorry 'bout that...maybe ask the 930 turbo guys (section) are call Pelican. For "some reason", I recall that it cost $179. You might try somewhere that sells used (sometimes new) older parts (i.e. I dunno if PartsHxxven is still in business or not). Good luck!
