78SC Testing / Replacing vacuum advance

Is there a good article or thread that tells how to test and/or replace the vacuum advance unit?

If broken, it would be nice to fix it rather than buy a new one. Can that be done?

Razor,

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. It should be straight forward with the dist off the motor. There are a couple of Pelican tech articles that I printed (with pictures). I also did a search, but I'm at work now and the links are at home for the discussions that are good for us.

The new vacuum unit is only about $22 from Wayne. I'm going to order on and replace it this week.

I'll check tonight for you.
