I believe this is the designation used for the 1973 T equipped with the CIS fuel injection. Also sometimes known as the 1973.5 T to distinguish it from earlier 1973 model year T's which were still equipped with the so called MFI or mechanical fuel injection. It was the first 911 model equipped with the CIS fuel injection so it has a few unique features and parts not shared with later years. Cheers, Jim

Porsche Crest

There were actually three 911T engines for the 1973 model ...

'TV' ... carbureted ROW engine with 130 hp, where 'V' means vergaser, for carburetor in German ...

'TE' ... MFI 140 hp USA/Canada only, where 'E' means 'einspritzen,' for fuel injection in German ...

'TK' ... CIS 140 hp USA/Canada engine, where 'K' means Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection ...
