Need CIS part and screw
Does anyone have a good picture of the parts that are in the hole for the k-jet CIS mixture adjustment screw. It appears that after my rebuild I have nothing in that hole and I understand that there is something that allows the screw to be adjusted in clicks. I have no idea what goes in there because I never had the car running since I bought it ten years ago (see my other thread titled "I reached a milestone today". Anyway, I am looking for any diagram or picture that can help me to find out what I need to buy.
Thanks, -Norm ![]()

Norm, the clicking is a myth for our cars. There is a screw with a 3 mm socket head for an Allen key in there.
You can see it if you look at where the arm pivots. It looks like a stopper screw for the arm as it returns to its normal resting place. |

Thanks Enzo1, that clears up the mystery. I went and checked today and I do have the screw in there. I just need to buy the tamper plug and extractor.

Mr. Enzo,
I looked up the tamper plug that you have, using the Mercedes part number (shown in your photos) and I see it for sale for about $2 bucks. Yet, when I look using the 911 part number it is sold for about $24 bucks. Do you have the Mercedes version and does it work? I hate to pay $24 for something that is the equivalent to a paper clip with a plug on the end. |

You want a stopper. Not an anti tamper plug. You want to be able to tamper. I did see a stopper on one site for $22. Man, I am thinking even with Porsche tax that should be only a $6 item. I did some searches. Leave the hole open or stuff a golf tee down there.

Hmm, that would work.
I'm bummed because I had the plug but managed to set it somewhere and never saw it again. I had tried to purchase on Pelican but NLA. Once I saw the Mercedes part number, I looked it up and it looks just like ours but only $2 - I think I may order it and see if it fits. |
