I have MFI and have many of the problems you describe. I haven't had any for a while so I'm feeling pretty good about things now. But I know how you're feeling.

Electrical issues I have had:

-CDI dead, or works intermittently (like starts mis-firing when hot)
-Points close up, probably because I didn't tighten the screw enough
-Coil died

Good luck. This too shall pass!

CDI was bad so the seller repaired at no cost. Also got the 69 pump repaired by Fairchild.

Then found pinholes in rubber fuel lines that connect hard lines in front of gearbox area. Fixed those and off to the races.

Just some fine adjustment to CO levels and we will be golden.

Thanks,

Matthew

put a Pertronix setup in place of the points! Easy and never worry about points again. PUt is a new CDI I like Daytona-Sensors CD-1 kit.
