Post is a '79 tach current triggered or voltage triggered?

Not even sure I know the difference. But if someone can answer this...I may finally be able to start hooking up the MSD ignition.

You will need a MSD tach adaptor to make the tach work

Ground triggered divided by six in tacho?

Breaker points ground themselves -> Pulse in tacho -> electrifies the magnetic coil that moves the tachometer pointer -> faster pulses, higher revolution display at tacho.

Just a thought

Britwrench. Ya, but the wiring diagrams supplied with the tach adapter comes with either voltage or current triggered. I guess I will just wire it the way it looks like it will work. Thanks.
