Experience with sharp-edge-petal 8.5 x 15 Fuchs replicas?

I have a set of what I think is the same replica Fuchs as seen in the following old thread:

Did Fuchs make a 8.5 x 15 wheel?

I might use at least two if not all of these on my cars and want to see how they stand up. Of course, replicas have a bad rep here, but I bet not all uniformly deserve it (and some definitely do).

The petals on these have sharper edges than real Fuchs. They are marked 15 x 8.5 and there are reinforcing raised Vs on the backs. Rarly8 identifies them as Italian in origin and says they were good wheels - if you can weigh in further, RarlyL8, please feel free.

If anyone else has any experience with these specific wheels, good or bad, please let me know. Failures, cracks, duration of your use with/without problems, origin, brand name; any info would be nice.

When I get some old tires off of a pair, I'll weigh them and post it.

Thanks, Al

I still have them but they have not been used in probably 10 years. They were as good as any other aluminum wheel on the market from the 80's.

I think it depends on what you want to use them for. Casual street use should be fine with most wheels. For very spirited driving or especially track use I'd want more information about the wheel, and would probably choose a genuine Fuchs wheel. Nothing against RarlyL8's wheels as I know nothing about them specifically. Just my very general opinion. Pictured below is an old photo I saved to remind me how important quality equipment is.

I wouldn't use an inexpensive aluminum replica on the track, period. That's what they make track wheels for. These old replicas I have were street use only.

Yes, I wouldn't propose them for track use.
