Is there a manual antenna to replace the power unit?
Hello Everyone!
I have removed my power antenna - and was wondering if there is a manual antenna replacement that is available? Also - I was thinking of completely having the antenna hole covered up when I re-paint the car. Has anyone found any good alternative for any other antenna solution? Thanks! Paul

You can get a Hirschman manual antenna and install that. This is considered a common "period correct" type replacement. Might have to search a bit for black mast and outer hardware. Chrome is more common but not as correct.
As far as the delete goes, have the hole in the fender welded up. You can try adding a power boosted flat antenna. I did this with success on a client's Renault Alpine A-310. We deleted the roof mounted antenna on that car. On the 911 maybe try mounting in trunk just under cowl. You will have to experiment with location to find best reception. Cooper |
