Where would I find an engine?
I'm new to the Porsche thing. I love driving the car. I know my 2.7L is getting tired. It leaks like a sieve. I am concidering buying an engine that has been rebuilt or rebuilding one myself. Where would I look to find either of these and what size would be easest to fit in my 1974 targa?
Thank you. Kevin |

I think a 3.6-liter would fit the best.

Kevin, a source for used motors will be the classified section here in Pelican BBS or in rennlist.com, another one will be DART Auto in Denver (don't know where you are in Colorado) http://dartauto.com, Steve Timins (www.instant-g.com) is probably one of the best people for a 3.6 installation he can also 'source' you the engine. Depending on your budget and abilities (if you want to do it yourself) you can choose from a good selection of 3.0, 3.2 and 3.6..
If you want to learn what people here on the list has done use the search function, you will be amaze!! Good luck.
