RSR Valve Spring Heights
Does anyone know the setup for valve spring heights on "real" RSR 2.8 heads?
I have the little white spec book for the '86 Carrera and Turbo. Are the specs outlined in this book the correct setup for a 2.8 RSR? The 2.8 RSR used the same 49mm intake and 41.5mm exhaust valves as the '78 SC through the '86 Carrera/Turbo, so maybe the spring setup for the '86 is correct. Your right and I should have realized that but not until after posting the thread and reading the spec books for the 2.4 T/E/S.
I am planning on using the 2.4S cams, GE40 or 60 cams or RSR sprint grind. The valves are: intake 49x9x110 and exhaust 41.5x9x108. And valve stem length is also a factor regarding the shims. The link you provided does help as it describes using the cam lift in the calculations. Last edited by abisel; 02-28-2014 at 05:12 AM.. |
