Heater relay base/socket fell apart - fix?
Having an autoheat issue so I changed out the relay for a spare. When I pried the relay off, the 12 wires that attach to the base/relay socket all popped out the bottom of the base. I tried pushing them back in but they wouldn't stay put. Tried putting the base on the new relay and then pushing the wires back in but they wouldn't set properly.
Ended up setting the wiring directly onto the relay posts and wrapping some electrical tape around the whole assembly which seems to hold it together. Anyone ever had to fix one of these before? Are the wire terminals glued into the base? Suggestions? Thanks. |
