Help me pick a color

Ok collective trust of Pelican's..

Help me pick out a color for my project's paint job. The car is originally Gold (Casablanca Beige) but there is another car in our club with the same bumpers and same color and I want my car to be unique.

Interior color is Brown with Black accents.

I am not apposed to a modern color and have even thought of a full Carbon Fiber Wrap.

I don not want the traditional colors: silver, black, red, white...

Give me your thoughts and pictures.....

Original color:

Well, I am very partial to the greys. Slate Grey is excellent. Also, Meteor Grey is the BEST Porsche color.

If you really wanted a great, classic paint scheme, you could go with the Gulf colors, or just Gulf blue. I think one of the best blues on a Porsche is Ossi. Ossi would look great on your car, with the bright trim.

The oranges and yellows scream "LOOK AT ME", but are very nice on the older cars. I don't know how nice they'd be on the newer cars. And if you have a tan/brown/cork interior, Irish Green would also look good.

The shape of these cars begs for a middle color paint, IMO. Which is why I think Ossi Blue is one of the best colors for a 911, with Slate Grey following a very close second.

Do you have a pic of the Ossi blue?

I do have a Brown interior with Black accents.

BLUE 911 coupes and some proud pictures

It would look pretty damn nice on your car. Take the black off the wheels, so that they are just aluminum-colored, and the whole effect would be great.

Mexico Blue is always a good choice. Here's my Casablanca Beige '74 Sportomatic after a small transformation...

If you want to be unique on this board, you'll probably have to find a color from another manufacturer. I like to see colors on other cars and wonder what they'd look like on my 911. I've found a bunch, but forget to look them up by the time I get back in front of a computer! (Mental note…snap a picture next time.)

If I had a car with a brown interior that I didn't care about originality.

Olive green aaaaaaaaall the way!!!

I wish I could special order a SC in the color scheme.

Orange orange orange. Always works very nicely with any brown color.

Post a pic of the interior.

If I ever do my dream build, orange would be a finalist. So would viper green.

I don't know who this car belongs to but it's in my "saved" folder. Not sure the brown/black interior would work with it though.

Here is an orange...

According to recent PPG statistics less than 2% of cars painted today are green... I love the olive car above!

A few years ago the guy running a scale model store had some die cast Tucker's, offered in both Maroon and dark Green. He said that he sold about a dozen of the Maroon ones, and not a single green one. Said green was the hardest color to unload/sell.

Olive green looks great -- and would meld well with the brown seats.

Summer Yellow would also work well with brown, and is very rare:

Noting the dislike for the "traditional colors", Chiffon White 182 is really attractive, not your "standard" white, and is awesome with brown seats:

Light Green metallic 275:
