Does the charcoal canister let air through?
Well I dont have a charcoal canister. It was one of the first things I looked into a while back and I found that it was leaking pellets into the attached hoses so i removed it and plugged the airbox attachment.

As I previously mentioned, I verified that the fuel expansion tank in the front driver fender has an unobstructed hose coming into it thru the fender, however the fuel expansion tank just vents to fresh air there. It's supposed to have a line running back to the carbon canister but it was not attached and it seems to be clogged anyway, probably with carbon pellets.

Could the problem be that my gas tank isn't under pressure? I dont ever hear pressure release when I take off the gas cap, should I?

You ever do a fuel volume check at the test port?
