G50 Rebuild Questions

1) What size socket do I need for the big nut on the main shaft?

2) My output shaft seal surfaces have some corrosion--black discoloration which you can feel with a fingernail in places. Are they going to leak? Another way to put it is do the seal surfaces have to be pristine to not leak?

Thanks,

Casey

If you can feel it, it's rough enough to prematurely wear out a new seal. Needs to be smooth as a baby behind!
